Meet The Team

Banyan Ridge Capital Management is comprised of investment professionals who acquired their expertise at leading credit funds, hedge funds, private equity firms, investment banks and litigation finance providers. The team has collectively closed over 100 investments across numerous industries, geographies, asset classes and economic cycles. The team's capabilities allow the firm to thoughtfully navigate unique situations while focusing heavily on capital preservation and fostering enduring relationships.

Peter Meyers, Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Peter has nearly 20 years of institutional private credit and private equity experience, having led or co-led strategies for prominent investment firms.

Prior to founding Banyan Ridge, Peter was a Managing Director at 777 Partners, a Miami-based investment firm with over $10 billion AUM, where he ran the Private Credit and Special Opportunities strategies. In this capacity, he focused on sourcing, structuring, executing and managing complex and unique direct lending and private equity opportunities that were frequently uncorrelated to market conditions and that were structured to generate significantly outsized returns relative to the overall risk profile. Prior to joining 777 Partners in 2018, Peter was a Director for Arena Investors, a global investment firm headquartered in NYC with over $4 billion AUM, focused on illiquid credit and special situations. In this role, he led numerous non-sponsored and sponsored direct lending investments across various industries and geographies. Prior to Arena, Peter was a Vice President in the credit fund at Comvest Partners, a private investment firm with ~$9 billion AUM. Peter also worked for a middle market private equity firm, and York Street Capital Partners, an investment firm focused on private debt and equity investments. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker in the Leveraged Finance group at Morgan Stanley in New York.

Peter graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in International Relations with a Cluster in Business Studies from the Wharton School.

Stephen McMullin, Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Throughout his career, Stephen has led bespoke, off-balance sheet transactions designed to unlock value in esoteric corporate legal claims (often originating from distressed situations, intellectual property or anti-competitive industry behavior).

Prior to founding Banyan Ridge, Stephen was a Director and Head of Structuring at Brickell Key Asset Management, a Miami-based investment fund with approximately $400 million AUM. Previously, Stephen was an analyst in the Securities Division at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he focused on U.S. and European Microstructure and related principal investments.

Stephen is a graduate of Harvard Law School (LLM), the University of Oxford (MA Oxon) and Georgetown University (Magna Cum Laude). He is a member of both the New York and Washington D.C. Bar Associations.

Daniel Narciso, Vice President

Daniel has over five years of litigation finance experience with a focus on law firm lending. Prior to Banyan Ridge, Daniel was the Director of Underwriting for a South-Florida based litigation finance firm, with a special focus on single-event and MDL claims. In this capacity, he focused on sourcing, underwriting and structuring credit facilities for law firms across the continental U.S. Since then, he has deployed upwards of $150 million into commercial matters, antitrust, and intellectual property claims with a focus on equity-like returns.

Daniel is a graduate of the University of Miami (B.B.A. in Finance) and the University of Miami School of Law (Magna Cum Laude). At the University of Miami School of Law, he was an editor for the University of Miami Law Review, a member of the Order of the Coif, and placed in the top 3 of various national bankruptcy moot court competitions. He is a member of the Florida Bar.

Daniel Matam, Senior Associate

Prior to Banyan Ridge, Daniel worked in private equity at Hidden Harbor Capital Partners and Atlantic Street Capital. He started his career as an investment banking analyst at Moelis & Company and Citigroup, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions and financings across the consumer & retail, industrials, and media & telecommunications sectors. Daniel also has experience working in financial planning & analysis and has spent time in proprietary trading as well.

Daniel holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Sarah Dunn, Chief Financial Officer

Sarah’s career spans almost 20 years of varied experience in accounting, financial management and business leadership. Prior to joining Banyan Ridge, Sarah served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting for OnPoint Global, an Adtech and performance marketing company, where she oversaw financial reporting, treasury, taxes, audits and human resources. Before joining OnPoint, Sarah was the Corporate Controller for a large private investment firm where she worked directly for the CFO, managing the accounting, audit, financial reporting and treasury functions while coordinating with dozens of portfolio companies in various industries spanning structured settlements, litigation finance, insurance, consumer finance, aviation and other sectors. While at the firm, she scaled the accounting team as new companies and assets were acquired, and she also created the financial reporting process for each company and investment. Sarah has also held SEC reporting and technical accounting roles at companies across the manufacturing and services industries. Sarah started her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, auditing multinational publicly traded companies in the New York Metro area.

Sarah holds both Bachelor’s (Management, Magna cum laude) and Master’s (Accounting) degrees from Boston College and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and New York.

Sarah is passionate about volunteer work and serves on the Boards of two Miami non-profit organizations: SOBE Cats Spay & Neuter and Girls Inc. of Greater Miami, where she is the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee.
